im 16 almost 17, never had a gf, never done anything with a girl. ive had a couple of chances to get with a girl but both times they just havent been up to my standards. im worried that ill never get a gf because my high standards will get in the way and that i wont be able to get the girl that meets my standards because well i have no idea really on how attractive i am . so any advice on weather i should lower my standards or any other solutions to my problem would be greatly appreciated.

Well it depends what your standards actually are and if they are realistic or not (because no one is perfect).

Also are you worthy of having a girl that meets such standards?

It is completely fine to want a girl that your actually physically attracted to and that has some skills and brains

But don't turn girls down simply because your expecting one that's on a Beyonce level of hotness and success yeah? (It's an exaggeration but hopefully you get the point).

But at the same time, don't lower your standards to the point that you start going out with girls your not even attracted too because that won't turn out well either (believe me).

So really just keep your standards realistic. As long as your attracted to the person and vice versa that's all that matters

You sure its your standards that need lowering or your not up to theres?

What do you think a woman is looking for? looks money (both might help but hey the rest of the world would be single if thats the case)

No girls just want to have fun. There is no secret, no game, no big mystery there emotional things and as long as there on that rollercoaster they wont want to get off.

So no dont lower your standards, grow a pair and match theres.

Take this piece of important advice: NEVER lower your standards. just because you may not have your ideal right now, doesnt mean that it wont ever come. The only time i think it is wise to lower your standards is if they are wayyyyy unreasonable. Like if you're wanting to have a perfect girl who always looks put together, always is smiling, and never has problems. Thats unrealistic. However if your standards is more like are a loyal, smart, sweet girl, who isnt slutty, that isnt impossible. Those kinda girls are still around, just harder to find. So whatever your standard is, dont lower it unless its crazy impossible.

If you lower your standards this may cause problems, like you will never truely be happy with the girl you are with. As long as it isn't just their looks you take into consideration with your "high standards" but also their personality, you should keep your standards high. Unless that is that you are not looking for a long term relationship and just want to get laid. Which from your explanation doesn't seem likely. So just keep your stanards high :) you will find someone x

geez, you´ve got standards on potential gfs? what would those standards be? no glasses? not above a certain weight? only blonds? and dropping those 'ideas' on how a gf should be, would be lowering your standards? get off of your high horse, young fellow.

i only use one standard: love.

NEVER LOWER YOUR STANDERS!! i am 20 years old and i have NEVER lowered my standers and just like you i and many chaces with some girls many but they where slutty and been around if you know what i mean and just not the girl i was looking for. And thats not what i go for some guys do but i dont, but guys like us we dont. It will come in time buddy no hurry. I am weighting to the girl of my dreams to come along. Everything will come in time, keep your head up high and never lower your standers.

Happy new years! and dont lower your standers to anyone the right one will come along you just have to weight just like me i am weighting until she comes along. Hope this helps.
